Best Medicine ft. Great Therapist

Yesterday, I met an old friend. It’s been a while since I met him and now he’s a certified therapist. I asked him where’s his clinic & how much does he charge? To that he replied; his clinic is worldwide and he charges nothing. What a funny mate I have.

By the way, I forgot to introduce you to my friend Laughter. So, after this conversation, he said that on May 1st there’s World laughter day and maybe we can work on a blog together. I agreed and this is our blog together. He told me to share some of the services he offers to tell people more about him. Here are those services:

Save it and share it

But my friend laughter has some attitude issues, he told me to share these but he didn’t tell me how does these work. So let me explain this real quick:

> Extensive laughter supports the immune system as laughing increases anti-body producing cells & enhances the effectiveness of T cells. These cells act as a defence against illness.

> According to a small study conducted on 2 groups at Loma Linda University, Southern California it was found that those who were shown a funny video for 20 minutes performed better in a memory test than those who sat quietly for 20 minutes. It has also been found that people who laughed for 20 minutes had lower levels of the stress hormone; cortisol. Maybe this could mean that you include laughter before your exams to score better, just don’t forget to study.

> Laughter increases the amount of oxygen in the blood and decreases arterial wall stiffness, that’s very good for heart health.

> Laughter helps in producing endorphins, and increased endorphins increase pain tolerance.

> Laughter exercises the diaphragm, that’s a good exercise for the lungs.

> More than 30 muscles are involved during laughing, resulting in a relaxed sensation. If you are relaxed you can definitely have a peaceful sleep.

> An increase in blood circulation due to laughter stimulates facial muscles and that makes you look younger.

Laughter told me that he’s ready to visit everyone, but for that everyone has to watch these 2 videos. I am sorry this was laughter’s condition and I have nothing to do with it.

Don’t worry, I have something for those who don’t understand Hindi

This was a terrible collaboration as I have to do everything. If you find laughter tell him that I’m pissed for all the hard work he made me do. You better keep him with you, otherwise, next time I see him, I will make him cry (if I can somehow ) \( °_o)/

I hope now you understand how laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is one such activity that you can do as much as you want, just don’t laugh at the expense of others.

Before I end this blog, I am giving you a task to laugh and make at least 1 person laugh today (could be more than 1).

  1. Amazing one, Devang!
This is my favorite post of yours from the ones i have read till now.
    Informative yet fun!
    Keep sharing, keep smiling.

      • Oh thanks!!
I got the idea suddenly. Although yes, it’s not a new idea but it’s definitely something new for me.
Also, I would like to take your suggestion on mother’s day post.
I thought I drop a mail few weeks ago, but I can’t find it anywhere in sent or drafts so probably I was dreaming. But, yes, I want to take some suggestion from my favourite blogger/poet/writer.

      • You’re welcome!!
I loved this idea, it’s really engaging and fascinating.
Yes, you mailed me to which i replied but didn’t got any further revert😅
I’ll mail you for the suggestion about the post, if that’s fine with you.
Thanks for considering me in your favorites! 🤗

      • I haven’t received any mail from you 😢
        I shall drop mail again.
Mother’s day blog will be a bit different, but I was thinking to make it more different by having some ideas. Right now, I’m clueless about it. 😅

  2. Well, in the first video I understood 3 words; namaste, sir and college! Thanks for the second that needed no words. My favorite is when Mr Bean measures the pan with a fish, then puts the fish back in his pocket where he stores it! Thanks for the tip about laughter day tomorrow. The videos were a good kick off.

    • I’m sorry I tried to find videos with English subtitles, but couldn’t find any 😅.
Thank you so much for commenting.
I hope you will remember to laugh tomorrow, as right now it must be late night there and it will look scary if you start laughing at the middle of the night. 😛
      Have a peaceful time ahead

  3. Happy laughter day! And the videos were so hilarious and the way you narrated your post was so intriguing!
Have a great day ahead 😊

    • Well, this collaboration was nothing good like the one on earth day 😌
Your exams are coming up so you better start laughing , probably it may help you.
You have a great day ahead too( that’s my line btw 🤷🏻‍♂️)
Don’t forget to share laughter today.
Ps- please exams se jaldi free ho jao 🙏🏼

  4. This is a great post, Devang. I really enjoyed it, and you did make me laugh when you introduced your friend as being Laughter. It was both informative and very funny. You make some great points too. I used to do laughter yoga a long time ago. A group of people, including me, lay on mats on the floor and someone started off laughing, even though, at first, this was ‘artificial’ laughter. Surprisingly, someone else started laughing at the first person and that’s how it caught on. Soon, everyone in the room was in fits of giggles. It was such fun. I would love to join a group like that again now, but as far as I know, there isn’t one in my town anymore. I’ll have to find some funny videos on YouTube to watch instead. Unfortunately, I didn’t understand your first video, and the second one said, ‘ Video Unavailable’ for some reason. Thanks for such a great post! It was fun! 😄

    • Artificial laughter is fun actually, I’ve read somewhere if you see laughing person, you start laughing automatically. If there’s no group around you then make one 😃. The first video was in hindi sorry, the second video is easy available on yt, you just need to tap it. Isn’t is it funny? That the video was supposed to work, but it’s another WP mischief. I’m sure if you tap the video, you can watch it directly on YT. Also, the face would be familiar to you.

  5. A beautiful write✨. Thanx for sharing such important information.
Oh and if I meet laughter, I’ll make sure he comes to u straight away. 😊
    Keep smiling and laughing 😁

    • Thanks a lot MT for commenting. I know you are focused on your studies and exams, but you are very humble that you always find time for my blogs.
You better laugh, and let me know if it brings any postive influence on your studies. 😝
      Remember to smile Sisy😁

  6. I love it Devang! Beautiful, to the point and comic! Funny way to present the facts, really enjoyed it. And yes, laughter is super important for our health!!

  7. I didn’t know laughter makes you look young, or that there is a World Laughter Day. Interesting! Omg I used to love watching Mr. Bean too, funny guy. 🙂
