Benefits of Smoking

Don’t be surprised by the heading (and the cover pic), because today I will share some fantastic benefits of Smoking. These benefits may not be new to you. But, I am sure you will be amazed to know how “amazing” smoking is.

So, let’s start with the first benefit because I don’t believe in extra long intros.

It will make you look cool

You might have seen it in the movies. That heroes and villains smoke a lot. Sometimes they even show vamps smoking. The main idea behind that is to make them look cool (or menacing in case of bad guys). They smoke a lot to show their intensity and style. So, I think it can be said that smoking will make you look cool. There are even Bollywood songs to make it sound cooler.

Although, yes. Those guys end up dead due to smoking. But, they looked cool, while they were alive.

Population control

India will become the most populated country next year. That means it will surpass China in terms of population. Over-population means we need more resources, more space and more of everything. But, the good thing is, that we have 267 million smokers in India. Out of which 100 million children below the age of 15 are smokers. 350,000 deaths annually are associated with smoking and tobacco use.

I won’t talk about why they smoke and how no one is stopping them, as that’s not what my blog is about. But, as all those people are smoking, they are contributing to the future of the world (especially India).

Tobacco is estimated to account for more than 1.2 million deaths annually.

Good thing for Economy

India is not only the major consumer of tobacco, but also the second-largest producer of tobacco in the world. Producing 761,335 tons of tobacco. Now, imagine, how many lives are affected by that. This is also a good thing for hospitals. People will not stop smoking, and they will get admitted to hospitals. There they will regret about their past mistakes by paying heavy bills.

In the end, hospitals are getting benefits from some idiots smoking for them.

Various forms of tobacco and cigarettes are responsible for 27% of the cancers in India.

Different lungs

Look, you may not know this, but smokers have special lungs. They know about the effects of smoking, yet they choose to smoke. This clearly means that they need different and special lungs from others. Smokers’ lungs are black and weak. That’s fine because it’s not wrong to be different. I mean, if someone wants to be different, who are we to stop them?

Yes, their lungs don’t function properly. Yes, they may die coughing. But, it’s totally their choice.

Other wonderful diseases

Smoking causes Diabetes, Asthma, Heart diseases, Lung diseases, Cancer, Reproductive issues in women, etc. So many diseases, and so many interesting ways to die. Some people don’t like a plain and simple life, they want adventure and regular trips to the hospital. It’s their style of living.

Clearly, all the warnings are mentioned on the cigarette packs themselves. Educated people are aware of these benefits, yet they like “Sutta with chai”.

So, these were some benefits of smoking. It’s your decision; if you want to avail them or want a boring healthy life. Life may not be in your hands, but death can be in between your 2 fingers.

Maybe you are offended by this blog, but as you have reached here, don’t forget to drop a like. You can also comment and share your thoughts.

If you are a smoker, then it was good knowing you. If you are not a smoker, then see you soon.

Keep smiling and have a healthy body.

  1. Brilliant and very effective blog, Devang – one of your best. I’m not a smoker either. I hate even being near a smoker, let alone taking up the filthy habit. None of my family smoked, although my ex-husband’s family all did. It was horrible when I went to their house or could smell the nicotine on their clothes when they were near me. Needless to say, my relationship with my ex didn’t last long. I don’t regret that fact. I thought this was a very clever way of getting a much-needed and serious message across. Thanks for sharing. Ellie

      • All your blogs are excellent and wonderfully informative, Devang. I just liked the way you used sarcasm and wit to truly get the negative side of smoking across to the reader in such a clever way. It was an unusual but very effective way of doing this. I enjoyed it very much. I appreciate all the work that you do with researching all your posts thoroughly. I look forward to seeing more of them. Ellie 🌞

      • Than you so much!!
Balancing health blogs and sarcasm is difficult. I hope I was successful. I’m happy to know that you like the blog. Keep smiling 😇

  2. Haha the title made me laugh. I really like this quote: “Life may not be in your hands, but death can be in between your 2 fingers.” It’s true! Great read, Devang 🙂

    • Hey, that’s an original FGW quote 😛

Also, I wanted to tell you. For some reason I’m unable to comment on your latest blog. I tried multiple times, but it kept telling me that “unable to comment”. Kindly check if you receive any comment from my side.

      • I just checked to see if it went to spam but I figured it didn’t, because you said you couldn’t even post in the first place. I’m not sure what is going on there. Maybe some weird fluke 😞
Sorry about that. I hope it doesn’t do it again.

      • Ohhh please don’t be sorry.
I just needed to inform you to check if it’s in spam or something.

I will try again today, and will apprise you.

  4. Lol, love a good sarcastic post. I’m too scared to smoke tobacco on a regular basis and haven’t for years. I don’t think I will be smoking a cigarette for the rest of my life. It’s just not worth it.

Maybe, in future, we get tech where you don’t have to type and just think. And, all the blogs of yours are automatically sent to the readers.
Although that would be tiring for the readers because God knows how many blogs you think in a day 🙂

      • Wow, I would love it if technology evolved that much. It sure would make blogging easier! Lol I could never think of more than one blog post a day lol my brain isn’t that great 😂

      • Still, you are able to manage 1 blog daily (without making it boring), that’s commendable.
You have inspired so many people, including me.
        Keep shining 🙂

  5. My grandfather’s cancer was caused by him smoking in his younger days. Despite quitting over 40 years back, he is still suffering the consequences. 🙁

      • Hi Isha Good morning. Wishing you a fantastic day ahead.
If you are using wp on computer. You need to go to the site>comments and there you can see spam comments. You get option to approve or delete it.
Similalrly for app, you can go to “comments” and swipe to the left, you will see spam option.

      • You will find many comments there. I still don’t know why WP does it anyway. But well!!
Hey, don’t forget to smile, okay?
Also, can I connect you with email or something? I would love to share some ideas and learn from you as well (only if you are comfortable).

      • Yes like oil seller
        Or stuff like that 😛
        I get them too.
        But, I totally ignore.
If you don’t approve at once, comments will keep going in spam.
However it can go in spam after some time, without any reason.
Btw, I’ve dropped you a mail. Looking forward to connect.
