ABC juice sounds like a gimmick, but it’s not. We consume them separately and sometimes even together. Today, we will learn about this special juice and it’s various benefits.

What is ABC juice?

ABC means Apple, Beetroot, and Carrot, together these are known as ABC juice. When I first heard about it, I thought it was some new catchy thing, but when I learned more about the benefits of ABC juice, I was surprised.

This juice is simple and just 1 glass gives us so a good deal of essential nutrition. With just 1 glass, you can get the goodness of various vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

It is easy to make. As you can see, the 3 main ingredients are apple, beetroot, and carrots. Our major problem could be finding these 3 together in the same season. But we will find a solution to that as well.

Benefits of ABC juice

Before we learn how to make ABC juice, we need to learn about its benefits. Making ABC juice is quite easy, but people are more curious to know what’s in it for them.

I will now quickly tell you a few of the benefits of ABC juice:

Nutritional content

ABC juice contains Vitamin A (mainly from Carrots), which are known for good eye health. All 3 contain Vitamin B6, which is known as a source of energy metabolism and brain health. Similarly, it contains small amount of Vitamin B1, B2 and B3.

Vitamin C from apples and beetroot supports the immune system and acts as anti-oxidants.

These 3 are a decent source of fibers, which are known to be good for gut health and digestion.

It is important to note that with juicing, most of the fibers get lost, so fiber content in juice is significantly lower in juice as compared to whole fruit.

FGW

This juice gives great amount of Potassium. Potassium helps in relaxing the blood vessels, while reducing the risk of high blood pressure.

Reduces cholesterol

As mentioned, Apple, beets and carrots contains fiber, which helps in lowering the bad cholesterol. Beets contain plant sterols, which can also help lower LDL cholesterol by blocking its absorption in the intestines

Improves skin health

The vitamins and antioxidants present in these fruits and vegetables can contribute to healthier skin by fighting free radicals and supporting collagen production

These have high water content, which contributes towards better hydration.

Some believe ABC juice aids detoxification, which might indirectly benefit the skin by eliminating toxins that can contribute to blemishes. And, we have seen people drinking Beetroot juice and carrot for better blood flow. However, there’s no proper research backing that claim.

If someone is telling you to drink ABC juice for liver detox, than you may not needing it. Read this to know why.

Aids in potential weight loss

If we consider 1 cup (quantity of these 3), then the calorie of these are very low. The fiber content keeps fuller and satiated for longer.

We need to note that most of the nutrient are lost in juicing, and actual fruit may be more nutritional as compare to juice.

The sugar content is high, overconsumption can cause problems.

ABC juice for cancer treatment

Most of the time, such juices are sold with outlandish claims like it treat cancer. However, no research suggest anything towards it.

Apples, carrots, and beetroot contain antioxidants that help fight free radicals in the body. Free radicals can damage cells and contribute to various chronic diseases, including cancer.

ABC juice provides essential vitamins and minerals that support the immune system and overall health, which is crucial during cancer treatment.

How to make ABC juice

The juice should be made with fresh ingredients. Apple green or red can be used. Beets peeled are needed. There are various types of carrots, red one is preferable. You can add lemon to it for tangy flavor.

Use Juice/mixer for it. Mix them and then strain. The easy to make ABC juice it ready, with tons of benefits (as mentioned above).

Replacement of base ingredients

The benefits of ABC juice is mentioned above, but that can be obtained from other sources as well.

In fact, this ABC juice is just a trendy thing and there’s no rule that we cannot use other ingredients.

Like adding orange, kiwi, Amla, which are all rich in Vitamin C. These add more benefits for immune system.

Green leafy veggies like spinach, kale, puts more phytonutrients in the juice.

Berries like blueberry, raspberry, etc. Are loaded with Anti oxidants, that helps in fighting inflammation.

We need to understand that consuming ABC juice is not necessary, and other fruits and veggies can easily replace the ingredients and even give more nutrition.

Conclusion

Today we have learned about the benefits of ABC juice. For some it may be something new, while for others it was just a reminder how beneficial this juice was.

We need to focus on fresh ingredients and consume something fresh, we also need to be mindful about not over consuming it. Most importantly what we need to remember is, this juice doesn’t promises replacement of anything. Consult a doctor before starting or stopping anything.

Until, next time, remember to smile.
