Welcome readers to my blog. This week I will talk about 5 dry and dried fruits that I eat in the morning
I said dry and dried separately because there’s a tiny difference between these 2. Dry fruits are nuts like cashew nuts, pistachios, etc. While, dried fruits are fleshy fruits that are naturally or synthetically dried like raisins, figs, etc. So, let’s discuss these and some of the benefits we can get from them.
#1: Raisins (Kishmish)
I start my morning with soaked raisins and their water. Raisins are a rich source of iron, various vitamins & minerals. You can soak raisins overnight and take them on an empty stomach, these are good for skin, treat anaemia, Detoxify the liver and treat constipation & acidity.
You can have all these above-mentioned benefits with just 10-12 raisins every day.
#2: Almond (Badam)
Next on our list is Almonds. I really think almonds are very common and most of us have them on a regular basis. But, do you know, almonds are loaded with vitamin E, essential oil & antioxidants. Eating 4-5 almonds daily can give you healthy hair, a healthy heart, keep your blood sugar level in control, provide relief from respiratory issues and you must have heard that almonds are good for memory, well true! It can delay the cell ageing process of the brain cell.
Do not forget to have 4-5 almonds daily.
#3: Apricot (Khumani)
This is one of the uncommon dried fruit on our list today, but, trust me it’s packed Vitamin A, E, Magnesium, Potassium & Copper. Apricots can suppress hunger as it’s very satisfying. Also, Apricots are good for eyes, bones and skin. These also ensure a good immune system and help in fighting internal infection.
Fun fact!! This is not the first time I’m mentioning apricots. I have talked about it before in another blog. Can you find out which blog is that? Comment down below if you know. By the way, Only 1 apricot in the morning is sufficient for all the above-mentioned benefits. You can take 2 or 3 if you like.
#4: Walnut (Akhrot)
4th Dry fruit that I take in the morning resembles the human brain. Walnuts have omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, protein & dietary fibres that are in fact good for brain health. Not only that; but, walnuts are known to help in decreasing inflammation, may help in lowering blood pressure, decrease bad cholesterol and even regular eating of walnuts reduces stress.
1-2 walnut is sufficient in the morning.
#5: Figs (Anjeer)
That’s too much dry/dried fruits in the morning, but I still have 1 more left. Figs are high in Iron, Magnesium, Calcium and Vitamin B6 & K which can help in controlling the blood pressure, good for reproductive health and also aid digestion.
Soaked 1 fig in water (along with almonds, walnuts and apricot) and take it regularly in the morning.
Honourable mention- Dates(Khajur)
Although, I don’t take dates daily in the morning; but, I need to mention it as a guest entrant. 4-5 Dates are sufficient to suppress your cravings, increase haemoglobin, improve gut health & so much more.
Overall, if you eat these dry/dried fruits daily (especially in the morning) you will experience improved stamina, enhanced energy, better digestion and overall good health.
Too much of dry/dried fruits can cause problems like gastric issues, increased diabetes, increase blood pressure, constipation or diarrhoea. So kindly, take in moderation or according to the quantity I have suggested in this blog
