Generally, people don’t get an opportunity to talk about themselves, until the writer asks the readers specifically. Yes, they comment, but the comment is about that specific blog.

This blog will focus on the readers and here they are allowed to talk about themselves. Because this blog is for the wonderful readers.

This month, I want to talk about the biggest supporter of FGW since day #1, an extremely talented, ultra-versatile writer/poet and a dear friend Vidah.

      1. I totally stole the campfire thing from somewhere. I didn’t come up with this idea. Hmm…. Sure, I’ll answer your questions:

        1. How are you? I’m cold, very cold. We keep the heater low in our house and it’s -14°C outside tonight, and icy. #brrr

        2. How is your health? I have a sore throat and cough so I could be better (it’s not covid). My husband has the same cough so I think I caught it from him.

        3. How was your November? November was cold. Our first snowfall was Nov 1 and we had one day that was above 0°C last week. The whole month has been cold and depressing.

        4. What’s new or old in your life? Nothings new, really. But I did start working on a general medicine unit at the hospital last weekend. So now I work on 3 units (the other 2 units are acute geriatrics units). Other than that, we’re not flying home for Christmas this year so it looks like I’ll be stuck here freezing to death all winter #brrr

        It’s cold here too, but not that cold wow. You please take care during these cold. Best thing is you don’t have covid. I too have cold, but let’s hope, you and your husband recover fast and well.

        How long does this last? Here we do not get any snow luckily but winters last till feb-march.

      3. It can get as cold as -30°C and even colder than that. It’s supposed to get to -21°C later this week which I’m not happy about. Winter here lasts until late April/early May. I’ve seen snow in May before. I often joke and tell ppl that winter lasts at least 8 months in Calgary, especially in Alberta.

        Yeah, thankfully I’ve never had covid-19 but I’ve been swabbed several times because it’s work protocol. Thank you, I’m hoping for a quick recovery but knowing me it could drag on for a while. A few years ago I spent Christmas at the ER due to an “influenza like illness.”

        You’re not missing much here 🇨🇦 Canadian winters are cold. I moved across the country to go to school in Alberta. I’ve been living in Calgary, AB for almost 5 years (5 years as of January 2023). Prior to that we lived in Saskatchewan to find work. Both my husband and I are from southern Ontario where our parents live, and they live thousands of kilometers away ✈️ My mom refuses to visit us because she’s scared of covid-19 and flying on planes.

        Here luckily it doesn’t snow, but the temperature during summer touches 48°C .
        Well I hope things get better this year for you especially around Christmas 🙂.
        Hey I won’t even ask you if you enjoy living in Calgary 😜.
        Your mother’s concern is right, covid is spreading again. You take proper care as you get involve with patients throughout the day. 😃

    November bought several changes for me..
    I am trying to work harder than earlier..
    I am hating working out in these winters.. But i love all the food that this season brings😋

  5. It is so kind of you to ask your blogging friends how we all are. It is a very generous thing to do. Thank you. I know you have a fair idea of how I am at the moment, but I didn’t want to simply not comment on your kind blog. So …

    1. How am I? I’m not too good, as you know. My counselling finishes soon and there is a very long wait for someone new.

    2. My general health is quite good, although I have put on a bit of weight because I keep wanting to comfort-eat. I need to be firmer with myself.

    3. My November was quite difficult because of my counselling ending soon. However, I have been able to write a lot of poetry, which I’m pleased about.

    4. Endings and beginnings? Well, my counselling is ending as you know already. I have one good beginning and that is I’m now seeing more of my best friend. She is very kind.

    1. I know what this means to you.
      But please don’t strees yourself by thinking about this.
      Good days will come, but please don’t think about the worse.
      If comfort food is giving you some comfort than have it. You can do some activity, that will make you peaceful and good for your health. For instance, writing is comforting you. You are writing a lot and that’s a good thing 🙂.
      .
      You can add some fun by using your knowledge in writing and mix it with new style or new theme for the blog 😃. That will add a fun twist and will be somewhat interesting.
      .
      I’m not trying to tell you what to do, in any manner. But I hope there’s new and healthy beginnings for you soon. And I know good days are just ahead. Just keep pushing forward.

Food is a comfort at the moment, although I’ve put on unwanted weight, but my writing is even more of a comfort to me, and I don’t actually feel the urge to eat unhealthy food while I am writing.   6. Hello Devang, I think I’m fairly new to your blog, although I do recognise a few names. I guess this is a good opening, so I’ll answer your questions too.
    1. I am good. Work is very busy. A lot of tight deadlines this week so I’m trying to focus on managing stress levels and not pushing beyond my limits.
    2. My health is ok. I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I’m recovering from a crash, so as I said above, trying not to push too much. Trying to listen to my body.
    3. November – is it bad to say I don’t remember 🤔 😕 I think its been mild in Scotland, autumn has lasted longer so its felt like it’s still October. It has been much colder today – but not like Canada. They say we could have some snow in a few days.
    4. What’s new – I want to learn more about and practice mindfulness because I think it will help with my focus and well-being.

      Yes, don’t overdo, stress will harm you. Know what’s best for you and yes practice mindfulness.
      If you can try to invest time in things that makes your calm.

      Here our November started getting cold, so yeah I cannot forget it. Sometimes some things went to fast that we don’t even realise when that happened.

    Again as usual my mid term exams are coming and I’m very stressed about chemistry bc I haven’t done organic chemistry which is coming in my exams 🥲

  8. I’m okay, recovering still from illness but a little better and my November has been good. Although, I will be relieved when the holidays are over. It can be quite exhausting sometimes. 😊

  13. I like the idea of this posy. What’s new for me is I just started a new job, my second youngest is about to graduate from child care, and it’s almost the end of another school year here in Australia. Plus, it’s just hit summer.

      1. Nah, it’s summer here in Australia. This is the last week of the school year. Yeah, health isn’t too bad. I’m just trying to lose some weight to fit into my wedding dress. Yeah, my new job is great. I’m working at McDonald’s

        A great way to lose some weight is to work at Mac D 😛
        You can lose weight easily, just add some walk here and there and ear everything in moderation. Fill your plate with more green and don’t forget to eat fruits as snack.
        I didn’t know about the summers in Australia.
