This post was supposed to be a response to a prompt, but dammit, WP removed that prompt. Anyway, here I am sharing one final blog post.

Blogging is a taking a toll on my life and I decided to stop. You might have noticed that from the last 2-3 months, I have shared very less over here. I had so many topics planned, but I cannot give them pertinent time.

Blogging takes a lot of time. I wish I could say it’s easy and requires very little time. Since I upgraded my plan, I have become more serious.

Earlier FGW was about quantity, it was easy for me to write 9 blog post in a month. Now, I am unable to manage even 3. Health blog post, takes a lot of time. I mean, you need to research and stuff and then write something reasonable.

From the last 2-3 months, I got busy as I had to write health based articles, those required even more time. I mean 3k-4k words are hard and the challenge was to write something fresh every time. I succeeded in that, but it took significant time from blogging.

When I am blogging, I want that post to be perfect. I work on details very closely, so that no-one can point out any flaw in the information that I’m sharing. This month, I have written very little for FGW and I feel bad.

This almost sound like I’m whining, but in order to do that, you need to be the finest blogger here and I don’t understand how she does it (I cleverly gave link to her site, as it is a good practice to outlink+ she’s my favorite blogger, so little fanboying).

Anyway, I wanted to share those articles, but sadly those don’t have my name on it and no one can tell if those are actually written by me as those articles doesn’t contain my personality. I like humor and sharing info in a fun manner, but review articles needs to be to-the-point. However, I made sure I don’t do biased promotion of any stuff and I made sure to scrutinize the products properly. I mean, I was getting paid to write them, not to tell lie, hah.

That’s what a health blogger should do, to talk about the truth and to share stuff that are reasonable and 165 posts later, I can say I was always honest.

Another, thing I was unable to do is, giving proper time to people I follow, I follow very few people, it remains easy to manage. But, no offense, some people just post 2-3 posts a day and it’s hard to respond to them.

Other than that, I am trying to figure out things, I feel there’s a mental blockage that is restricting me, my mind is not working as it is supposed to be. I would consider getting help in 2024 related to that.

I am sick since 26th, I am unable to go to gym, I am unable to read, I am unable to write, so that’s why I decided to quit blogging.

This year many blogger friend decided to quit and surprisingly, they have shared a guest blog for FGW, Let’s add one more to that list.

I have decided to quit blogging immediately and completely and I don’t plan to return.

Keep shining and Have a Happy New Year!!!

    1. ha ha – i knew it! : ) See you when you’re completely recovered. Don’t know whether to be happy to look forward to reading a good blog again or sad because it will keep me pinned to the couch some more….! ; D

      1. That’s your choice 😛

    2. got me worried there, Devang… was already writing a comment in my mind whilst reading 😋

I’ve reduced sharing also. But I’ve a lot to share with you … May be this year … May be not …

      1. I would like to hear that.

      2. Yes, in shaAllah

  2. Blogging is hard work and very stressful and I’m at the same boat as you. It’s literally exhausting to work on blog posts and you write with quality so I imagine it’s even harder.

I do hear sadness in your post so it would be irritating to beg you to stay and post something different. So, instead, you’re always welcome to come back.

We appreciate your contribution to health and fitness on WordPress and you will be missed dearly.

    1. Thanks I appreciate your comment 🙂

  3. Ugh I was so sad when you said you were quitting. I would miss you enormously even though I’ve been struggling for time too. You need to prioritise your own needs, your health. Take care and I hope to speak soon Bx

    1. Well that’s life!!

Not seeing you much around here

      You good??
      How’s your legs hands?

  4. I understand. It is a commitment. And if anyone doesn’t feel they are getting something positive from doing it, they would do better to quit than continue begrudgingly. I have considered quitting too, but still feel I have a lot to say. Thank you for all you have shared!

    1. Thanks for your support

  5. Maintaining a blog is hard. You can always take a break and resume blogging when you have more time. One strategy I am using in 2024 is featuring some posts from my writing group. This reduces the amount of writing that one person must do in a month.

    1. That’s a great thing

  6. Sounds like you are really quite ill! Hope that you can fight off whatever it is with lots of healthy soups, herbal teas, sleep, and whatever else helps you. Glad you can take the pressure off, and thank you for all of the posts encouraging our inner potato to get off the couch! ; )

    1. Thanks for appreciation ☺️

  7. Best wsihes to you and your health and to all–

  9. Sorry to hear that you are quitting. If you go back to the free blog then you can blog once a month or even less. What you write does take time but it all depends on if you really enjoy it or not. Hope that you have a Happy New Year Devang.

I understand that blogging takes a lot of time and energy to do, but I didn’t consider you would stop blogging. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Like Rebecca said, “don’t quit!”
I hope you feel better soon, but in the meantime you gotta take care of yourself.
We’ll be here when you come back!!

    1. Let’s see 🙈😉

  18. I hope you decide it’s more of a break than a break-up, D! We’ll miss you around here! 💞
