We all want easy and doable things for a healthy life. But, the internet is full of information and we get confused about where to start and how to start.
Today, I’ll share 5 easy things you can do to live a healthy life. These are simple, realistic, and will not require you to learn or do anything crazy.
These things just need some healthy changes and you will enjoy doing them.
Tip 1: Eat more home cooked meals for a healthy life
As a nutritionist, I always suggest people to eat more home cooked food. Reason: It’s healthy
Home cooked food is healthy because you know what you are putting in them. You know how you are making it and what cooking methods you are using to make it.
Even a pizza can be made healthy at home if made with known and fresh ingredients. Ask lifesfinest blogger, she’ll guide you.
Outside food or junk food as we see in the market is not fresh. We don’t know its cooking technique and we don’t know how fresh they even are. We can control that at home.
This habit may seem tough at once, but it can be enjoyable when you see good results on your body, skin, and hair with just a simple hack for a healthy life.
Tip 2: Walk more for healthy life
Walking is underrated. I know people will argue with me here, but walking is underrated and underestimated as an effective workout.
If you don’t know anything, just walk
If you don’t know where to start, just walk
Walk when you sit on the chair for an extended hour. Walk after your meal. Walk when you are on a call.
I need to mention it again here ( as I did before), no number is considered as “ideal step count” for walking, but if you walk more often you can say hasta la vista to many diseases.
Walking regularly and more often improves lungs & heart conditioning, improves metabolism. Reduces the risk of heart disease, and reduces bad cholesterol and blood pressure. Increase endorphins and hence reduce stress and so much more.
If sitting is next smoking, walking is the first healthy living.
Tip 3: Have more boundaries for a healthy life
Often we say yes to things that we later regret. Or we allow people in our lives and let them decide our emotions.
That’s wrong and that’s because we give others control of our lives. You might have seen that there are trolls on the internet who are always ready to talk sh!t about you or try to make you feel guilty for stuff.
Don’t worry I haven’t become a motivational guru (yet). But, my point is, that we need more thicker and wider boundaries for things and people.
Meanwhile, we also need to invest in ourselves and our needs. We need to tell ourselves about the importance of self-appreciation and self-love. We need to invest more in me-time and we need to be more mindful of things around us.
This also includes how much info from the internet you are consuming, and how much are you allowing to affect you.
Setting visible boundaries is a great key to a healthy life.
Tip 4: Sleep well and sufficiently
An important thing that people are neglecting nowadays is “sleep”. People are sleeping way less than they are supposed to.
You need at least 7-8 hours of sleep. No matter what the internet is feeding you or whatever influencers are telling you about sleeping, there’s no shortcut or magic number.
I’ve seen sleeping less is glorified and, especially in India, sleeping more is seen as a sign of laziness. People say proudly “Hey I sleep for 2 hours and still feel fresh”, but for how long?
I’ve discussed recently how sleeping is important for you. Here’s a quick recap: Sleeping ensures the clearing of the brain, it throws away unnecessary data and keeps the info that is useful for you.
It also helps your body to recover, and fix the tissues, cells, and even muscles. It helps in controlling the cycle of our body, without that our body can do Hulk mode in just a few days.
Tip 5: Move out more often for healthy life
I know this sounds like our tip 2, but in this one, I’m trying to mention more nature time and going out more.
I’ve learned this recently about the importance of nature on mental health. I’ve discovered my love for exploring new places and going for a good bike ride, it has done wonders for my mental health.

If you can you should go out more often. If not visit your local park. 2 blogger friends of mine – Rebecca Cuningham & Michelle lee or in short Mlee ( calling by names for the first time) share lovely places and that shows how much they enjoy doing that. It’s a simple way of connecting more with nature.
Conclusion
These 5 things are simple, doable, and fun. These won’t take many changes or time out of your life.
You just need to be more aware of what you are eating, who you are allowing in life and how much are you sitting.
Simple things can make you live a healthy life.
Keep smiling.
